Coco Gauff vs. Elena Rybakina Odds
Coco Gauff vs. Elena Rybakina Preview
The second of the semi-finals in the Women’s US Open is set for Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday evening, as American contender Coco Gauff takes on Elena Rybakina. Gauff will be attempting to win her second home Grand Slam title, while Rybakina has her sights set on a third overall major.
Gauff has shown her character throughout her run to the final four, bouncing back from a set down in the quarterfinal against Mirra Andreeva to win 2-6, 7-6, 6-2. The American was clinical with her first serve in that showdown, winning 71% of the points on her first serve. However, she will need to limit unforced errors, having recorded 12 double faults in the quarterfinal win.

Elena Rybakina is set to move to the top of the world rankings after the US Open, but she will be attempt to celebrate that milestone by winning a second Grand Slam in 2026. The 27-year-old will be playing in her first US Open semi-final this week, but she has oozed class throughout the major, eliminating Naomi Osaka and Yulila Starodubtseva in straight sets.
Like Gauff, Rybakina needed to show her powers of recovery in the previous round, fighting back from a set down to overcome Qinwen Zheng. She was excellent on serve, winning 80% of the points on first serve and 75% of the points on second serve. Rybakina also limited her opponent to just four break point opportunities.
Head-to-Head Record
This is only the third meeting between Rybakina and Gauff, which is slightly surprising given their spots at the top of the WTA ratings. Gauff won the first meeting in 2022, but Rybakina won a three-set thriller against her American rival in the semi-finals of the recent WTA Tour event in Canada.
Coco Gauff vs. Elena Rybakina Picks
This will be a high-class semi-final showdown between two of the top seeds in this year’s US Open. However, Rybakina’s ability to dictate matches ensures that she holds a strong advantage, and we could foresee the 27-year-old securing a first US Open final appearance in three sets.
