NFC: Giants Look Like a Team in a Typhoon
Unlike their neighbors who occupy the same stadium, the New York Giants can’t really contemplate firing the coach as a way of addressing their ills. After all, Joe Judge is brand-new. And that is distressing in a sense because that would at least be something that had a shot at a solution.
How Is the Rams vs Giants Game Looking?
Right now they are a team searching for answers on how to proceed without their best offensive player, and BetOnline patrons may cringe at the thought of them going up against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday (4:05 PM ET).

And they still embarrassed the Giants.
So that’s what the situation is like right now. You can’t fire the coach yet, but you wonder if the general manager’s job is on the line. This team is 9-26 since Dave Gettleman took over that job.
The Vegas Odds for Los Angeles Rams vs NY Giants
In looking at the Vegas odds on this one, it’s not a big surprise that the Rams are almost two-touchdown favorites:

As you may know, the Giants lost Saquon Barkley a couple of weeks ago against the Bears. And they need to come up with some kind of combination that works for the rest of the season. They have signed veterans Devonta Freeman and Alfred Morris, who have been to Pro Bowls, but neither one of them is what he used to be. But they’ll have to soldier on.
Meanwhile, look at what the Rams are doing on the ground. In terms of Run Play Percentage, they are #1 in the league, keeping the ball on the ground 54% of the time. When you see them doing that, you know they are doing exactly what they want to do. That’s what the passing game is built upon – being able to run the ball so that play-action can be effective.
And you can see the benefit to Jared Goff’s game. The one-time #1 overall pick has not only completed 70% of his passes, but they’ve also gone for a league-high 9.6 yards per attempt.
Head coach Sean McVay was not wrong when he said that a healthy offensive line could help cure his team’s ills. Even after losing Todd Gurley, the Rams are rushing for almost a full yard per attempt more than they did a year ago. And had they not gone to sleep in the first half of last week’s game against Buffalo, they’d be undefeated. As it was, they came all the way back from a 28-3 deficit to lead the game until there were 15 seconds left.
