Katie Taylor Stats & Record

There have been few more influential stars in the history of women’s boxing than Katie Taylor. The legendary 40-year-old was the undisputed and lineal world champion in the lightweight division between 2019 and 2024, and also held the super lightweight gold in 2023.

Taylor is regarded as one of the greatest Irish athletes of all-time, and was also the winner of the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games. Since turning professional, her dominance has continued, winning 26 of her 27 fights, and she could become a three-time undisputed champion in her final bout.

Taylor warmed up for the swansong with a stunning trilogy bout against Amanda Serrano last July, retaining the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring light-welterweight belts with a third straight win against her long-time rival.

Flora Pili Stats & Record

French star Flora Pili will be hoping to upset the odds in Taylor’s swansong fight at Croke Park. Pili should be respected, as she boasts a perfect 12-0 record since turning professional.

The Frenchwoman turned professional in 2019, and holds a respectable KO rate of 17%. She has won the IBO World Super Lightweight title on two occasions during her career, and she captured the IBO light-welterweight title on her last appearance, beating Jelena Janicijevic on points.

Despite sporting a perfect record, this will be Pili’s biggest challenge to date, as she has never previously come up against a fighter of the caliber of Taylor.

Katie Taylor vs. Flora Pili Picks

For the first time since Muhammad Ali’s win over Al Lewis in 1972, Croke Park will host boxing. It is the fitting location for the farewell fight for one of the most transcendent stars that the sport has ever seen. There is unlikely to be a sting in the tail, as we fully expect Taylor to dominate the bout and score a points win.
