Event Preview
The Fortinet Championship is the next stop on the PGA Tour this weekend, as the players compete for their share of the $8.4 million purse in California. This event has been staged since 2007, with the north course at the Silverado Country Club having hosted the event since 2015.
Five players are tied for the best aggregate score at the PGA Tour evening, with Cameron Beckman, Kevin Sutherland, Troy Matteson, Rickie Fowler and Jamie Lovemark all finishing with a score of 262. However, Stewart Sink holds the par record, as he finished 21-under when landing victory in 2020.

Max Homa is the commanding favorite at the top of the betting, as the American chases a third straight victory at the Fortinet Championship. Homa has enjoyed an excellent season, as he has won twice on the PGA Tour already this term, and has finished in the top ten on 12 occasions. The 32-year-old has also finished in the top ten in each of his previous four appearances, including a tie for ninth at the Tour Championship in late August.
However, outside selections have excelled at this event in the past, with eight of the previous nine winners being priced at odds of +3300 or higher. Brendon Todd could be an interesting selection this weekend, as holds excellent course form. Most recently, he finished ninth at Silverado, and that could make him a solid contender this weekend.
Fortinet Championship Prediction
We will overlook Homa this weekend, as he is far too short in the betting. Therefore, a chance will be taken on Sam Ryder. Ryder has excelled in California throughout his career, with two of his top 12 finishes coming at Torrey Pines. He has finished in the top eight on four occasions this season, and he could have a part to play this weekend.
