U.S. Open: Picks to Finish in the Top 10

By · Updated 48 minutes ago

The third major of the golf season is here, as Shinnecock Hills Golf Club hosts the U.S. Open. Play at the event will get underway on June 18, with the betting likely to be dominated by Scottie Scheffler, who is chasing a career Grand Slam.

However, due to being one of the biggest betting events of the summer, there are countless betting markets available to gamblers at the U.S. Open. Among those include being able to make picks on players to finish in the top 10. You can find our standout selections for the market here.

U.S. Open Picks: Top 10 Finish

Patrick Reed

In truth, Patrick Reed has been a preferred angle for us in the majors this season, as his consistent record on the course is hard to dismiss.

The American is a two-time winner on the DP World Tour in 2026, and he regularly performs to a high level at the majors. Reed will be playing in his 12th U.S. Open this year, and he has made the cut on ten occasions.

His best finish to date came when he finished fourth in 2018 when the event was held at Shinnecock Hills. A return to the course, and his reliable record this calendar year, make him a standout selection when making picks for a top 10 finish.

Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith’s career has arguably gone backward since joining the LIV Tour, but there have been signs of a recovery in recent months.

The Australian has been playing at a high level in recent weeks, taking T5 at LIV Andalucia and T16 at LIV Korea. The 32-year-old knows what it takes to perform at a major, having won The Open Championship back in 2022.

A return to his best form at majors followed last month, finishing T7 at the PGA Championship. He has finished in the top ten on one of his last three starts at the U.S. Open.

Kristoffer Reitan

As an outsider, Kristoffer Reitan could be an interesting selection when making top 10 picks for the U.S. Open. The Norwegian rookie has excelled this season, winning the Truist Championship at the start of May.

He has also finished T2 and achieved five top-15 finishes on the Tour this season. Reitan is yet to truly threaten in a major, but his game is progressing quickly.

Rallied to finish T41 on Masters debut earlier this year, and was T44 at the PGA Championship last month. The course should suit his game, and he may be a value play when making picks.
