  • The Reds are 1115-1013 in their all-time history against Atlanta.

The Braves and the Reds face off as they continue this series between two of the hottest teams in baseball. Both teams are seeking to make the postseason field, but Cincinnati has much more work to do.

Prop Bets

Prop BetOdds
Jared Shuster OVER 4.5 Ks
Jared Shuster UNDER 4.5 Ks

Jared Schuster has been having a solid rookie season for the Braves this year. He started a bit slow, allowing 11 runs in 13.2 IP over his first 3 starts, equivalent to a 7.24 ERA. Since then, he’s settled in nicely, pitching to a 3.25 ERA. Despite Shuster’s recent success, he isn’t making batters miss. In his last 3 starts, he threw just 3 total strikeouts, despite pitching 5 or more innings each time. I’m taking the under here.

Prop BetOdds
Spencer Steer OVER 0.5 Hits
Spencer Steer UNDER 0.5 Hits

Spencer Steer has really come on in his second year in the MLB. After hitting .211 as a rookie with a .632 OPS, Steer is now hitting .273 with an .824 OPS in year two. That being said, after going .318 from the plate in May, Steer has hit just .227 in June. It makes it harder to bet on the over, but he has managed to get a hit in 13 of 20 games this month, despite that low average. I see him getting a hit in a key game.

Prop BetOdds
Ozzie Albies OVER 0.5 RBIs
Ozzie Albies UNDER 0.5 RBIs

Ozzie Albies continues to make an impact with his power at the plate. He ranks in the top-10 in the MLB in RBIs this season, benefiting from a stacked lineup around him in addition to his own talents. Albies has at least one RBI in 6 of his last 9 games, and 11 total RBIs in that same span. In a matchup against the scorching-hot Reds, I’d expect Albies to have a big impact. I’m definitely leaning towards the over here.
