He’s got a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Japanese jiu-jitsu, and kempo, and also has plenty of experience with boxing and kickboxing.
Now a 32-year-old, Pedro has been fighting professionally for more than a decade. But even before making his pro debut, he was actively involved with the MMA through his father John Pedro who’s the man who brought this sport to Australia.
With such a background, you can be certain that Pedro does not fear anyone, much less his next opponent, Vitor Petrino, who’s been in the UFC for only about a year.
A Dana White Contender Series alumnus, Petrino fought three UFC fights in 2023, beating Anton Turkalj, Marcin Pachnio, and Modestas Bukauskas.
