We bet on the Suns for two reasons. First, their rivals aren’t good these days, losing three of their last 4 matches. Phoenix has 4 losses in a row, yet their rivals were title contenders: Suns, Nuggets, and two playoff teams, Warriors and Trail Blazers.
The second is Orlando’s turnover issue. Magic average 17.3 turnovers per game, and the Suns like to score from transition and run, which will give them an edge in this event.
Heat vs. Warriors – Warriors -7.5
After a slow start, the Warriors found their rhythm, posting 5 straight wins. It’s pretty logical to see them as the favorites. Additionally, the Heat had a tough matchup last night in LA against the Clippers, where they won in OT, 117-116.
So Giannis and the boys are most definitely tired, and knowing how the Warriors push the tempo and run, they have a good chance of extending the win streak to 6 in a row. Heat allow more than 122 points per game, which will be excellent for the well-rested Warriors’ sharpshooting unit, which still relies heavily on fast transition and perimeter scoring.
All this is why we wanted to bet against the spread here and increase the profits.
