Preview
LSU won a close game against Arkansas, climbing back to 3-1 on the season. The Tigers haven’t lost since their opener against Florida State, but have also not looked all that confident. They’ll have a chance to change that this week, with a road game against #20 Ole Miss. A win would put LSU back in contention, while a loss would likely drop them out of the top 25. They need the defense to improve a bit this week.
Ole Miss took their first lost of the season at Alabama. It was one of the toughest games on their schedule, but their inability to score against a struggling Crimson Tide team was still concerning. The Rebels will be aiming to put that behind them and claim their first win in SEC play this week against LSU. Ole Miss has an elite run game and solid defense, but they’ll need QB Jaxson Dart to play significantly better this week.
Prediction
SEC conference matchups can be tough to predict, especially between evenly ranked teams. Both of these teams enter this game at 3-1. They’re each aiming for a signature win of their own, with this game providing that opportunity. Ole Miss being at home here will certainly help, but I may have been inclined to take them to win regardless of the location. I just don’t trust LSU yet. I like the Rebels to get the upset.
