Browns vs. Jaguars Week 1 Odds
Game Preview
Browns want a fresh start, and that’s why they fired a two-time NFL Coach of the Year, Kevin Stefanski, and added Todd Monken. He will try to revitalize Deshaun Watson and his career while also laying the foundation for a new Browns team.
Myles Garrett left for the Rams, and Jared Verse came in the opposite direction. The Browns also have CB Denzel Ward, but they lost defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who left the franchise after not getting the head coaching job. This is a mighty blow for Cleveland.
Trevor Lawrence and his “rock’n’roll” football will be back again this season. We have to say the Jags didn’t do anything noticeable this summer, and that they even lost the No.1 RB, Travis Etienne Jr., who had 1,107 rushing yards last year.
This will be a huge hit for the Jaguars’ offense, because neither Bhayshul Tuten nor Chris Rodriguez Jr. is a high-profile runner. At least, they aren’t at the moment. They are good executors in the red zone, yet nothing more than that.
Browns vs. Jaguars Head to Head
The all-time series result is 12-8 for the Jags. But the Browns have won the last three straight, most recently in 2024, 18-13 on the road.
Browns vs. Jaguars Predictions
We will pick the Jaguars to win and cover the spread. Lawrence and the boys are very good at home, having a 7-2 record last year. Browns are with a rusty Watson, without a new defensive coordinator, and without their best player, who was traded. So, it’s logical to pick Jacksonville to win.
- Free NFL Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars -7.5
