Gardner Minshew led his team to a comeback win over the Cowboys, 33-30 OT. After Mike LaFleur decided to bench Jacoby Brissett, Minshewmania was unleashed and the Cards flipped the score. Minshew finished with 188 passing yards and 3 TD tosses.
Arizona’s biggest problem is its defense, the worst in the NFL. It allows 29.8 points per game and is among the worst when defending third-down conversions and when rivals enter the red zone.
Seattle Seahawks
The champions were blown away at home against the Bears, who won 34-17. One of the best defenses in the league allowed 34 points and 363 total yards, far more than 250, which is their average, No.1 in the NFL.
Sam Darnold is unreliable when the Seahawks don’t have a run game. We saw that against the Bears, where he threw for 188 passing yards, two TDs, and a pick. But more importantly, he completed only 50% of his passes, 17-for-34. That’s what happens with his completion percentages when the Seahawks have under 100 rushing yards, and they posted 81 on Monday night.

Sure, the Cardinals have the worst offense in the NFL, but the spread they have to defend is 11.5 points. The way the Seahawks play and the Cards’ current “nothing to lose” mentality will make this game much more interesting than anyone expects.
