Texans vs. Jaguars Predictions – Jaguars
Expert NFL Pick:
First, the Jags are in excellent shape and winning games, while the Texans aren’t. It’s obvious that the momentum is on Jacksonville’s side because Lawrence and the boys have 4 wins in 5 games, while their future rivals have only one. The Jags have the 2nd-best scoring defense, allowing only 14 points per game. To be honest, we were surprised to see this. Houston was the team that was supposed to rely on defense, but it turned out differently here.
Another reason why we bet on the Jags is the Texans’ one-dimensional approach on the field. They are the second-worst running team in the league, with just 79 rushing yards per game. This puts a lot of pressure on CJ Stroud, who then makes mistakes when it matters the most. He has 6 TD passes this year without an interception, but his QBR is just 55.5.
And last but not least, travel fatigue is also why we pick the Jags to win. After visiting Nashville, Tennessee, the Texans now have to travel to London and deal with jet lag and all sorts of issues. The Jaguars are already accustomed to that.
