Team News

History beckons for the Seattle Kraken on Friday evening, as they could cause a seismic shock in the playoffs by eliminating the defending champions. The Kraken moved into a 3-2 series advantage following game five, as they recorded a dramatic 3-2 win at Ball Arena against the Avalanche.

Seattle scored twice in a high-quality second period, before they secured the victory with a third effort in the final period. Morgan Geekie, Yanni Gourde, and Tye Kartye all scored goals in the win. Meanwhile, Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves from 28 shots faced.

The Colorado Avalanche were made to pay for a sloppy second period on Wednesday evening, as the two goals that they conceded were ultimately very costly. Nathan MacKinnon and Evan Rodrigues scored the goals in the loss, while MacKinnon also ended the night with an assist.

The Avalanche will certainly come into this game in good confidence, as they won at the Climate Pledge Arena in game three, but they lost at the same venue in game four. It may be worth taking them on at the current prices available, as they didnโ€™t look like an odds-on shot on Wednesday evening.

Picks

There is certainly value in the betting to side with the hosts this weekend. The Kraken have been excellent in each of the previous two games, and they will be roared on by a passionate home support in game six. Therefore, we will be siding with history being made against Avalanche.
