Team News

The Buffalo Sabres will finish the regular season in tenth. They narrowly missed out on a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, despite a strong finish to the campaign, which has seen them win seven of their last ten. Over that period, they have also lost just twice in regulation.

Despite that disappointment, they continued their strong form in their previous game, as they edged to a 4-3 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators. This could be a perfect opportunity to end the season in good form, as they have impressed on the road, going 24-13-3.

This campaign has been more disappointing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, as they will end the season at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. They have won just two of their previous ten games, and have gone 25-47-9 across all games this term.

One silver lining coming into this final game of the season may be their home form, as they have gone 16-22-2 at Nationwide Arena. They also come into this game after a recent home success against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday evening.

This has an end-of-season feel about it, and both teams could easily claim victory. However, we will side with the Blue Jackets to end their season on a high note with a win against the Sabres.
