Schalke 04 vs. Bayern Munich Odds
Game Preview
Schalke opened the campaign with a 3-0 loss in Augsburg. This game clearly showed what’s going to be the biggest problem for the Miners, and that would be the defense. They have allowed at least two goals in the past 4 events, counting the preseason and the DFB Pokal.
They will be without suspended Shallenberg, who received a red card in Round 1. Both Edin Dzeko and Robin Gosens are expected to get some minutes, with the strong striker likely not starting but coming on from the bench.
Bayern was ruthless in Osanbruck where it rolled over the host in the DFB Pokal this midweek, 1-4. Before that, they would roll over Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena in the opener, 5-1. So, as we all see, their attack is working superbly.
On the other hand, their defense is constantly conceding. There hasn’t been a single match since the preseason against professional teams in which Bavarians didn’t allow at least one goal. That’s something Vincent Kompany needs to address.
Schalke 04 vs. Bayern Munich Head to Head
The last clash was in 2023 when Bayern humiliated Schalke 6-0 at the Allianz Arena. Also, the combined goal difference over the previous 4 contests is 20-0 for the Bavarians.
Schalke 04 vs. Bayern Munich Predictions
Bayern’s attack has immense potential, and it’s probably the best in Europe. With the reigning Golden Boot winner, Harry Kane, and one of the best playmakers in the world, Michael Olise, this team is capable of stuffing three or four hits to any defense. That’s why we take Bayern to win and cover a 1.5-goal spread.
