Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Preview
World No.1 lost two sets on his way to the finals against Jarry and Safiulin. Later, he defeated Lehecka and Yu in straight sets, extending his triumphant streak to 15 consecutive matches. He did had to go through a tiebreak against Yu in the second set, but eventually, Sinner was very confident trashing the rival 7-3 in the additional game.
He is heading for the third straight title after lifting trophies in Cincinnati and then at Flushing Meadows. However, his current situation isn’t that sweet due to a doping scandal and WADA’s threat of a two-year suspension ban.
Alcaraz has been on fire since landing in Beijing. Why? Well, he beat all of his rivals in straight sets, and we need to mention that the previous two opponents were pretty tough. After Karen Khachanov, he swept Daniil Medvedev.
This is Carlitos’s fifth consecutive victory, including the Laver Cup played before the China Open. He was dominant against Medvedev, winning 45% of points on the Russian’s first serve. Unlike against Khachanov, this time, his winners/unforced errors ratio was positive, 23-19.
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Head to Head
Sinner and Alcaraz played nine times, and the Spanish player has one win more than his rival. He was better than Sinner in past two events, the semis at Indian Wells, 2-1, and Roland Garros, 3-2.
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Predictions
The fact that Sinner has off-court problems will surely have an effect here. Meanwhile, Alcaraz’s form is on the rise, and if he repeats the performance like against Medvedev, Carlos should win.
