Match Preview
Sinner has eight straight wins and a title won in Shanghai, where he defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Now, here in Riyadh, he was better than Daniil Medvedev and Djokovic again.
This time, it was harder for Jannik to overpower the Serbian, who took one set, 1-2. Sinner opened the event well, beating Novak 6-2 in the first set, yet losing the second in the tiebreak without a point won. The last sequence ended 6-4 for the Italian.
Carlitos didn’t have such a stern test in his semis where he beat Rafael Nadal. It was in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, and we have to say that it was more of an exhibition event than a contest.
Alcaraz won the tournament in Beijing before losing to Tomas Machac in Shanghai semis. He is still oscillating a bit, but when the Spaniard finds his rhythm, he can’t be beaten.
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Head to Head
The most recent clash was at the Beijing finals, which Carlos won 2-1 after a great battle. This was his third consecutive victory over the rival from Italy. The result in the all-time series is 6-4 in Alcaraz’s favor.
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Prediction
This one goes to three sets. That’s something we are pretty sure of. Sinner defeated Novak and lost some of his energy, while Carlos, whose recent form isn’t as great as Jannik’s, enters the battle fresh.
