What Does ‘Rotation Number’ Mean in Sports Betting?
A “Rotation Number” (often just called the “rot”) is the unique ID number given to a team in a specific game.
Example
You will always see it listed to the far left of the team’s name on the “big board” at a casino or on a betting app.
Here’s a typical example on a betting board:

- 102 Chicago Bears +3
In this case, 101 is the rotation number for the Packers, and 102 is the rotation number for the Bears.
