The Time Person of the Year has been awarded since 1927. Politicians have dominated the roll of honor, with the President of the United States winning 24 of the accolades.
Other national leaders, such as Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler, have also won the award. Charles Lindbergh was the first winner of the award after completing the first solo transatlantic flight in May 1927.
