Fight Preview
London’s bout between Wilder and Chisora is an interesting prospect. Wilder will have questions to answer after appearing to have lost his way since his perfection at the professional level was lost.
Back-to-back defeats against Tyson Fury were followed by convincing defeats against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang in 2023 and 2024, respectively. The knockout specialist at least stopped the losing run in June of last year, beating the relatively unknown Tyrrell Anthony Herndon.
However, this fight against Chisora represents a step back up in class to one of the main names in the heavyweight division.
Chisora is one of the most entertaining fighters in the class, and his professional record reads 36-13. The 42-year-old has never been afraid to take on a challenge, and he produced a stunning effort to take Tyson Fury to round ten in December 2022.
Since then, the Brit has looked better with age, showing his excellent Ring IQ in three successive victories against talented rivals Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce, and Otto Wallin.
Deontay Wilder vs. Derek Chisora Picks
The fact that both of these fighters will look for the knockout blow ensures that the clash in London will be an unmissable event. However, Chisora’s ability to take punches and then throw shots himself could be the key factor. Therefore, we could foresee the Brit winning a war against Wilder on points.
