Event Preview
We will be back racing in Formula 1 at the end of August, as the Dutch Grand Prix is staged in the Netherlands. This race was a regular stop on the F1 calendar between 1950 and 1985, but it didn’t make its return to the schedule until 2021. Circuit Zandvoort has hosted the race throughout its history, with drivers having to successfully navigate 14 corners.
The field will complete a total of 72 laps to make up the 306.587km race distance. Jim Clark is the most successful driver in the history of the race, having landed four victories. Meanwhile, Ferrari is the leading constructor with eight race wins. However, Max Verstappen will be looking for a third straight win in his home race.

It has been easy work for Red Bull and Verstappen so far this season, and the Dutchman already appears to have too big of an advantage at the top of the standings. Verstappen has landed victories in each of the previous seven races, including a win in the final race before the summer break in Belgium.
Sergio Perez is his closest rival in the standings, but it looks unlikely that he will close the gap on his teammate. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso remains this, but the team’s issues have been obvious since the opening months of the season, as they have failed to finish higher than fifth in the previous four races.
There have been signs of recovery at Ferrari in recent weeks, as Charles Leclerc finished third in Belgium before the summer break. However, Mercedes and McLaren look the most realistic dangers to Red Bull, with the former looking to bounce back after fourth and fifth place finishes for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in Belgium, respectively.
Dutch Grand Prix Prediction
Verstappen’s dominance looks set to continue in his home race, and we expect him to claim another straightforward win. However, we expect to see more progression from McLaren in the Netherlands, and we could see Lando Norris achieving a podium finish.
