Event Preview
The F1 action continues this weekend, as the first of three races to be held in the United States takes place in Miami. The race consists of 57 laps, which makes up the 308.326km race distance. A total of three DRS Detection zones are located across the track, making it easier for drivers to overtake. Drivers will have 19 corners to navigate, with the lap record being held by Max Verstappen.
The reigning world champion remains top of the standings, but his advantage was cut to six points last weekend. Verstappen had to settle for second at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as he finished over two seconds behind teammate, and closest championship rival, Sergio Perez.
It was an excellent drive by the Mexican, as he pitted under the safety car to take advantage of Verstappenās misfortune. It once again highlights Perezās excellence on street circuits, and that could be a key factor once again this weekend.

There was a welcome return to form for Ferrari in Azerbaijan, as Charles Leclerc finished third in the Grand Prix, and took second in the Sprint Race. It was a welcome return to form, and it now means that the driver from Monaco sits sixth in the Driversā Standings. However, he once again looked to lack race pace to truly compete for the win.
It wasnāt a weekend to remember for Mercedes, as Lewis Hamilton finished sixth, with teammate George Russell back in eighth. Both lacked the pace to compete with Aston Martin, as Fernando Alonso sealed fourth and Lance Stroll concluded the Grand Prix in seventh. However, the track in Miami is likely to suit the Mercedes pair this weekend.
Miami Grand Prix Predictions
We donāt expect the Red Bull dominance to end this weekend, and it will be a fascinating battle between Perez and Verstappen. However, the preference is for the former, as we could see the Mexican putting a firm marker down to declare he is involved in the race for the championship this season.
