Event Preview
The Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour, with the field competing over 7,466 yards to win their share of the $20 million purse. This stroke play event has been contested annually since 1966.
Unsurprisingly, the betting will be dominated by Scottie Scheffler. However, the world number one has started slowly in each of his last three events, eventually finishing T12 last time out. However, back from a break, the two-time former event winner is a deserving favorite.
Rory McIlroy also has winning form at Bay Hill, claiming victory back in 2018. His consistency at the course will make him a standout selection, as he has finished in the top-ten on six previous attempts.
Consistency is also a common trend when it comes to Tommy Fleetwood. The reigning FedEx Cup champion has returned to form in recent weeks, finishing in the top-ten on his last two starts. His record at Bay Hill should also be respected after finishing T3 and T10 among five top 20 finishes.
Jacob Bridgeman is a progressive player, and the American should be capable of building on his T15 finish 12 months ago. Previous form will also give Kurt Kitayama a leading chance. The American won this event in 2023, and confidence should be high after taking T2 at the Genesis.
Arnold Palmer Invitational Picks
Plenty of players will have excellent claims this weekend, but at the prices, Collin Morikawa looks most interesting. The American bounced back to winning form at Pebble Beach earlier this year, and he holds excellent course form after finishing as the runner-up in 2025. Could avenge that this weekend.
