Event Preview
The Bermuda Championship is one of the most unpredictable events on the early-season schedule on the PGA Tour. The field will be competing for their share of the $6 million purse in the stroke play event, which covers a total of 6,828 yards at Port Royal Golf Course.
Nico Echavarria looks like a standout starting place when assessing the leading challengers. The Colombian requires a top-35 finish to climb into the Aon Next 10. His recent form has been very solid, finishing ninth and T14 on his last two starts.
Matti Schmid is also another star in need of points to secure a spot in the Aon Next 10. The German has experience at Port Royal, finishing third in the event back in 2023. His recent form is also reliable, finishing T8 on his latest appearance.
Rico Hoey is also expected to be competitive, and he looks like a solid angle to improve on his T17 finish on debut 12 months ago. Vince Whaley could also be a player that offers value in the betting. The American has a very solid record at the course, finishing in the top ten on his last three starts.
Bermuda Championship Picks
There is plenty of value available in the betting this weekend, but a chance could be taken on Patrick Rodgers. The American was an excellent T6 last time out, and he has a four-from-five record at Port Royal, including top five finishes in two of his last three starts.
