Event Preview

The exciting PGA Tour action moves to Florida this weekend, with the Cadillac Championship returning to the schedule for the first time in nine years. A mammoth distance of 7,739 yards will be covered by the field, as they bid to win their share of the $20 million purse.

Scottie Scheffler will be the main contender after finishing as the runner-up on back-to-back starts in the RBC Heritage and The Masters. However, the world number one has looked back to his best after an inconsistent period of action before the opening major at Augusta.

Collin Morikawa was one of our main plays at Augusta earlier this month, and his form has remained solid after finishing T7 and T4 on his last two starts. Another reliable performance is expected this weekend.

Cameron Young has also been extremely consistent, despite throwing away his chances of Masters glory in the final round earlier this month. On debut at Blue Monster, he could be one of the few players that are tailor made for this golf course.

Chris Gotterup should also be respected as one of the few multiple-time winners on the PGA Tour this season. His above-average putting ability ensures that he is capable of getting involved once again this weekend.

Cadillac Championship Picks

At a bigger price, Patrick Cantlay could be of interesting this weekend. Cantlay has been in reliable form since the Valspar Championship, finishing in the top ten in two of his last three starts. His game looks perfect for the tests provided at Blue Monster, and he could be an overlooked player in the betting.
