Event Preview

The Grant Thornton Invitational is one of the most unique events on the golfing schedule, with men’s and women’s stars from the respective PGA and LPGA Tours joining forces. The team event has been a welcome addition to the calendar since its introduction in 2023, with Tiburon Golf Club playing host to the competition.

Knapp/Tavatanakit will be the defending champions for the 2025 edition after setting a tournament record score in their success 12 months ago. Both players bring reliable form into the weekend, and a repeat success is hard to dismiss.

Day/Ko will also be hoping to make history this weekend, as the inaugural winners could become the first two-time champions of the Grant Thornton Invitational. Ko’s performances throughout this season has been strong, including a win in the HSBC Women’s World Championship in March.

The team of Nelly Korda and Denny McCarthy will be a popular selection this weekend. McCarthy was last in action finishing T51 at The RSM Classic, while Korda has achieved top ten finishes in nine of her 19 appearances this calendar year.

Grant Thornton Invitational Picks

The team of Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners have come close to winning the Grant Thornton Invitational in each of the two editions, finishing as runners-up in 2023 and taking T4 last year. This year could be their opportunity, as both stars arrive at the weekend in consistent form.
