Event Preview
DP World Tour action is set for Scotland this weekend, as the Trump International Golf Course hosts the NEXO Championship. The field will compete across a total of 7,439 yards in a bid to win their share of the $3 million purse.
Patrick Reed will be among the leading contenders this weekend, as he has performed to a high standard throughout the season. The American was last finishing T46 at The Open Championship, but he is a two-time winner on the DP World Tour this season, and has finished in the top two on three occasions.
Spanish star Eugenio Chacarra should also be respected, despite fading to T64 at last week’s Danish Golf Championship. Chacarra was well in contention before shooting three over in the final round.
Casey Jarvis should also be capable of getting involved in Scotland this weekend. The South African is a two-time winner on the DP World Tour in 2026, and he was last in action finishing T6 at The Open Championship.
Of those at bigger prices, Shaun Norris could be a player worth considering. The eight-time winner on the Japan Golf Tour has made the cut on his last 13 starts, and has twice achieved top five finishes at the China Open and Catalunya Championship.
NEXO Championship Picks
I’m happy to take a chance on Marcus Armitage this weekend. The Englishman has previously won on the DP World Tour, and his form throughout this season has been impressive. Confidence will be taken from his recent performances after finishing in the top 30 in four of the last six events, which includes a T26 finish at last weekend’s Danish Golf Championship.
