Event Preview
The excitement of The Masters may be over for another year, but a high-quality edition of the RBC Heritage should soften the blow this weekend, as the field compete for their share of the $20 million purse.
Scottie Scheffler’s weekend at Augusta may not have ended as he wished, but the world number one showed that he was back to his best when shooting four under in the final round to take second. Hard to dismiss this weekend after winning the RBC Heritage in 2024.
A number of players that enjoyed an excellent final day at The Masters will dominate the betting, including Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick. Cameron Young may have been slightly disappointed with his finishing position after leading going into the final round, but plenty of positives can still be taken from his T3 finish.
Patrick Cantlay also maintained his reliable form, and his record at Harbour Town speaks for itself. The American has finished in the top three spots on five occasions, and has also finished in the top 15 on seven occasions.
Russell Henley was among the players to make late moves at The Masters. His record at this weekend’s course is also strong, finishing in the top ten twice, and also achieving top-20 finishes on four occasions since 2021.
RBC Heritage Picks
Jordan Spieth showed flashes of his best form at Augusta last weekend, finishing four-under on the final day to take T12. The American has finished in the top 12 in four of his last six starts, and has made the cut on all nine appearances at the RBC Heritage, winning in 2022 and taking second in 2023.
