Event Preview
The Singapore Classic is the latest event on the European Tour, with the action this weekend being staged at Laguna National Golf & Country Club. This event will cover a distance of 7,420 yards, with the stroke play competition offering a purse of $2.5 million. The tournament was announced in June 2022, becoming the first European Tour event in Singapore since 2014.
However, the tournament hasnโt been without controversy to this point, with the first event became the first competition to be staged in Southeast Asia without the backing of the Asian Tour. Ockie Strydom was the inaugural winner of the event in 2023, beating Sami Valmaki by a shot.

Shane Lowry will be the clear favorite in the betting this week, as the Irishman look to build on his solid finish in The Players last weekend. He ended the event going six-under through the final round, but that was ultimately only good enough to secure a finish in a tie for 19th in the standings.
Rasmus Hojgaard could be an interesting selection this weekend, as the Danish player looks to get his form back on track. He finished ten shots off the pace on his previous appearance when finishing in a tie for 49th at the Puerto Rico Open.
Singapore Classic Prediction
A number of players hold interesting claims this weekend. However, we will be siding with Thriston Lawrence. The South African comes into the event in solid form after finishing second in the Jonsson Workwear Open.
