Noche UFC 3 Picks for All Fights on September 13
If you’re looking for Noche UFC 3 picks, you’re at the right place. We’re now going to provide you with predictions for each fight scheduled for the September 13 event in San Antonio.
The only exception is the main event, which we’ve already covered. If you want to read a detailed analysis of the headliner fight, make sure to check out our Diego Lopes vs. Jean Silva preview. For Noche UFC 3 picks for all remaining fights, stay put!
Noche UFC 3 Main Card Picks
- Rob Font vs. David Martinez – Rob Font
- Rafa Garcia vs. Jared Gordon – Rafa Garcia
- Jose Daniel Medina vs. Dusko Todorovic – Dusko Todorovic
Rob Font was originally meant to fight against Raul Rosas Jr., but the Mexican pulled out of the fight due to an injury. With just two weeks to prepare, David Martinez stepped in. It’s going to be his second UFC fight after a win over Saimon Oliveira on his debut. This time, however, we just can’t see him winning.
That’s our top pick for the Noche UFC 3 main card action. For most other fights, we advise caution. While we do think betting favorites will win, we wouldn’t bet too much on them. This goes especially for the -240 favorite Jared Gordon, who we think might slip against grappling expert Rafa Garcia.
Picks for Noche UFC 3 Prelims
- Tatiana Suarez vs. Amanda Lemos – Tatiana Suarez
- Claudio Puelles vs. Joaquim Silva – Joaquim Silva
- Jesus Aguilar vs. Luis Gurule – Luis Gurule
- Zachary Reese vs. Sedriques Dumas – Zachary Reese
- Monserrat Rendon vs. Alice Pereira – Monserrat Rendon
Tatiana Suarez vs. Amanda Lemos is such an exciting fight that we’re surprised Dana White & Co. put it on the preliminary card (our prediction is that they’ll do it by September 13). This is a clash between two legends of WMMA, both of whom are looking to make themselves relevant again.
Tatiana Suarez wants to bounce back after a loss to Zhang Weili in the fight for the title last February. We think she’s gonna succeed. She holds a clear edge over Amanda Lemos when it comes to wrestling and grappling. While Lemos has the sharper striking, Suarez’s toughness makes it unlikely she’ll get overwhelmed on the feet.
Another WMMA fight worth noting is Montserrat Rendon vs. Alice Pereira, in which we expect to see a surprise happen. Pereira is a -220 favorite, but we think she might get “fraud checked.”
She is 6-0 as a pro, with five finishes on her record, including an 11-second knockout that put her on the map. Still, not everything about her résumé looks flawless. Two of her wins are flagged on Tapology, and for good reason — either the promotions were flirting with fight fixing, or the matchups were glaring mismatches.
Her most hyped victory came against Samarra Santos, a 12-9-1 veteran often paraded on Pereira’s social channels as a “ONE FC title challenger.” The reality is less impressive: when they fought, Santos had lost seven of her last ten.
