Tracy Cortez made her professional MMA debut in summer 2017 and was submitted by her opponent in round 2. However, she bounced back a few months later, and since then, she’s been unstoppable. She’s 10-0 since the loss on her debut, with five of those wins happening in the UFC.
All of her UFC wins happened by decision, which you might not think is too impressive. However, she did defeat some really good opponents – Mariya Agapova, Vanessa Melo, Melissa Gatto, etc. Still, the toughest opponent she defeated in her career was Erin Blanchfield. She beat her by a split decision while the two were still fighting in Invicta FC.
Cortez is a well-rounded fighter who lands a lot of strikes (3.56 per minute), as well as a lot of takedowns (2.80 per 15 minutes). She also has great TD defense (71%), but she does get beaten up a lot (2.32 strikes absorbed per minute). That’s something that should worry her ahead of Noche UFC because Jasmine Jasudavicius is a great boxer.
The Canadian fighter actually has a pretty similar set of skills to Cortez. She lands a lot of strikes (3.23), but gets hit a lot (3.92). When it comes to wrestling, she lands a lot of TDs (2.20) and has a great TD defense (78%).
Tracy Cortez vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius Prediction
These two are very similar fighters, but Cortez has a better portfolio. Plus, she’s had way more time to prepare for the fight than Jasudavicius who fought Miranda Maverick in June.
