Swanson vs. Quarantillo Fight Preview
Swanson vs. Quarantillo is the UFC Tampa co-main event, and we understand why Dana White picked it. It’s because this is supposed to be a real dogfight, with both fighters throwing all they’ve got at one another.
Cub Swanson is a 41-year-old veteran who loves punching and kicking his opponents and doesn’t mind getting hit back. He’s famous for his toughness, which explains why only three of his 43 fights ended with him losing by a KO/TKO. Plus, the last of those happened against Jonathan Martinez when Swanson injured his leg.
However, Billy Quarantillo does look like someone who could beat Swanson by a knockout. This guy is a hell of a boxer who lands 7.36 significant strikes a minute – more than anyone else in the UFC Featherweight Division.

He also has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but his grappling hasn’t been great in the UFC. The same goes for his wrestling as evident from the fact that he got taken down 19 times in his 11 UFC fights.
Swanson vs. Quarantillo Prediction
Billy Quarantillo will win the UFC Tampa co-main event – that’s our prediction! This is likely to be a high-octane strike fest, but that’s exactly what he excels at. Plus, the fact that he’s a Tampa resident means that he’ll probably have fans at Amalie Arena cheering for him on Saturday.
