Fight Preview
Taila Santos’s (19-2) last fight resulted in a split-decision loss to Valentina Shevchenko in the title bout for the UFC Womenâs Flyweight Championship some 14 months ago. Her only other loss also happened by a split decision, which is proof of how tough this girl is.
However, itâs a big question whether sheâs as tough as her next opponent. Erin Blanchfield (11-1) is undefeated since joining the UFC, with five straight wins in this promotion. The best thing is that sheâs already defeated one former Womenâs Flyweight title challenger.
Itâs Jessica Andrade whom weâre talking about, a fighter who challenged for the 125lb title two years ago, and he used to be the champion of the Womenâs Strawweight division before that.

Blanchfield beat her by submission last February, winning the Performance of the Night bonus along the way. It was her third straight win by this method; before that, she did the same to Molly McCann and JJ Aldrich.
Erin Blanchfield vs. Taila Santos Prediction
Taila Santos is a fantastic striker, but Erin Blanchfield is a much better grappler than her, so which fighting style will prevail at UFC Singapore? We think Erinâs. Sheâs tough enough to survive Tailaâs striking and is so good at BJJ that we think she can finish her opponent once she gets ahold of her.
