Nickal vs. Craig Fight Preview
Nickal is a three-time NCAA Division I national wrestling champ, and he uses the same methods to beat his rivals in MMA. At the moment, he is 6-0, with three of those wins in the UFC. Elite grappling skills and superb preparations have been the key to his success so far.
After winning all of his five first appearances via first-round stoppage, he had to enter the second round against Cody Brundage whom he routed via rear-naked choke. So far, Nickal has posted two knockouts and four submissions. All those betting on MMA should note this data.
Paul Craig is a veteran with 36 years, but his UFC career is on a downhill slope. He lost four of the previous five events, all of them in the light heavyweight division. That’s why he has now dropped to the UFC middleweight division, where he has one triumph—over Andre Muniz in July 2023.
The Scotsman holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is known for his fantastic grappling skills and overall wrestling. That’s why he has 13 submission wins, the second most in UFC light heavyweight history – six.
Nickal vs. Craig Prediction
The American is a far better striker than his rival, which is one reason we believe Nickal will win this event via stoppage. We aren’t sure whether that happens via submission or KO, but that advantage will be a decider in the end.
- Nickal vs. Craig Pick: Nickal via stoppage
