Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2 Odds
Match Preview
Volkanovski hasn’t entered the ring since defeating Lopes in April last year. He is 37 now, and to be honest, we aren’t sure what his current shape and form are. Losing to Topuria was a huge blow to his reputation, and even though he defeated Lopes clearly afterward, there are still doubts in Volk.
We don’t need to say too much about his legacy and reputation. In his prime, he was probably the best pound-for-pound guy in the UFC. His first battle with Islam showed his fantastic cardio and resilience, and we are sure that if it had one more round, the Russians wouldn’t win in the end.
Lopes lost to Volk and then went to demolish Jean Silva in San Antonio in September. The Mexican won via TKO, that is, a spinning back elbow, which aroused the crowd. After that, it was pretty much evident that he wanted a rematch with Volkanovski.
After 34 MMA battles, Lopes has 27 wins and 7 losses. He has 12 submission wins, 11 KO triumphs, and 4 by decision. He is arguably the fighter with the hardest and most durable chin in the division, and guys like Brian Ortega or Dan Ige learned that the hard way. Also, Lopes has never lost by KO in the UFC.
Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2 Predictions
Despite all the doubts in Volk, he still has what it takes to beat Lopes. Why? Because of his endurance and his experience. And we emphasize the latter. In these types of bouts, experience is a massive edge.
