UFC Abu Dhabi Predictions for All Fights on July 26

By · Updated 1 week ago

UFC Abu Dhabi has the potential to be one of the best MMA events of the year from a betting perspective.

Odds are great for most fights scheduled for July 26, and we predict there’ll be some major upsets – with +270 odds or even longer.

Keep reading to see which ones are those!

UFC Abu Dhabi Main Card Predictions

  • Petr Yan vs. Marcus McGhee – Marcus McGhee
  • Bryce Mitchell vs. Said Nurmagomedov – Said Nurmagomedov
  • Sharabutdin Magomedov vs. Marc-André Barriault – Marc-André Barriault

The UFC Abu Dhabi main event is such a huge fight with great odds on both fighters, which is why we had to preview it in detail. You can read our analysis in the Robert Whittaker vs. Reinier de Ridder preview.

When it comes to our UFC Abu Dhabi predictions for the other three main card fights, we’re backing underdogs in each of those.

Marcus McGhee is obviously the most unlikely pick given that he’s fighting against the former champ. But the American is a hell of a striker who we think could out-punch the Russian and win by decision.

Then, there’s Said Nurmagomedov, a Swiss-army-knife of a fighter who’s taking on Bryce Mitchell. The American is probably not in a good place right now after all the “Hitler is a good guy” nonsense and the loss to Jean Silva. And we predict Nurmagomedov will take advantage of it.

Finally, we think Marc-André Barriault might find a way to beat Shara Magomedov. The Canadian is a powerful striker who knows how to hurt opponents. Sure, Shara is probably even more dangerous, but a lucky punch for Barriault and the fight is over.

UFC Abu Dhabi Picks for Prelims

  • Nikita Krylov vs. Bogdan Guskov – Nikita Krylov
  • Amanda Ribas vs. Tabatha Ricci – Amanda Ribas
  • Muslim Salikhov vs. Carlos Leal – Carlos Leal
  • Asu Almabayev vs. Jose Ochoa – Asu Almabayev
  • Ibo Aslan vs. Billy Elekana – Ibo Aslan
  • Martin Buday vs. Marcus Buchecha – Marcus Buchecha
  • Mohammad Yahya vs. Steven Nguyen – Steven Nguyen
  • Davey Grant vs. Da’Mon Blackshear – Da’Mon Blackshear

We’re not bragging, but last weekend, all of our early prelim picks won. Still not bragging, but we even got the method of victory right for each of those fights. Hopefully, we can do something similar with our UFC Abu Dhabi predictions.

We’re going more conservative with picks for prelims, backing betting favorites in most fights. In fact, the only underdog we’re backing is Asu Almabayev.

He was originally meant to fight Ramazan Temirov, but the Uzbek fighter failed a drug test. Mexican knockout artist Jose Ochoa stepped in on a 3-week notice and is favored to get a win. We, however, predict the full-camp Almabayev will outsmart him in the Octagon.
