Muhammad vs. Bonfim Odds
Fight Preview
Muhammad is the former welterweight champion and one of the most experienced fighters in the division, with 30 bouts under his belt. He won 24 of them, 18 via decision, has 5 losses, 4 going to the distance, which makes him arguably the toughest opponent possible for any fighter.
He was undefeated for 11 straight bouts, beating Leon Edwards along the way and taking the belt. However, Belal lost in the very next appearance to Jack Della Maddalena and after that in the most recent against Ian Machado Garry.
Bonfim is very impressive, right now, having 4 wins in a row. He was better than Ange Loosa, Khaos Williams, Stephen Thompson, and, most recently, Randy Brown, whom he KO’d. The Brazilian is just 28 years old and already has 20 fights, winning all but one.
He is very good on the mat, having 13 of his triumphs by submission. Bonfim’s punching is at a high level, but due to extraordinary skills on the ground, it’s often neglected because it doesn’t happen frequently in the ring.
Muhammad vs. Bonfim Predictions
Muhammad is tough as it gets, but in this case, his relentless pressure won’t do the job. Bonfim is almost 10 years younger, and his raw power could be a problem, especially if he starts taking down Muhammad. This fight will probably go to a distance, with Bonfim winning.
