Event Preview
The AdventHealth 400 forms the ninth race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 2026, with the field of drivers completing a total distance of 400.5 miles at Kansas Speedway. This weekend’s race has been a part of the schedule since 2011, with the race distance made up of 267 laps.
There was a shock winner of the Food City 500 last weekend, as Ty Gibbs crossed the line first. However, his consistent performances throughout this season ensure that he merits respect once again on Sunday. Gibbs has now finished in the top five in five of the last six rounds.
Tyler Reddick continues to set the pace at the top of the Drivers’ Championship, taking fourth last weekend after finishing 15th in the Cook Out 400. Reddick’s four wins on the Cup Series schedule is the most by any driver in 2026.
Ryan Blaney’s consistency sees him sit second in the overall standings. Blaney won the Pennzoil 400, and has finished in the top ten in two of the last three rounds. There will be pressure on Chase Elliott and William Byron to bounce back this weekend after finishing 22nd and 30th, respectively, in the Food City 500.
