Event Preview

The final race on the regular calendar before the start of the In-Season Challenge is set for California on June 21, as the inaugural Anduril 250 will be staged. Drivers will compete across 255 miles on the street course layout, with a total of 75 laps making up the race distance.

This race is an exciting addition to the calendar, and the street layout will pose different challenges to the drivers involved. It is likely that Shane van Gisbergen will thrive under these conditions. The Kiwi has already won the Go Bowling at the Glen this season, and he excelled on road circuits throughout last season.

Tyler Reddick should also be respected this weekend after winning on a road layout in the DuraMAX Texas Grand Prix earlier this season. Reddick’s overall form this season is red-hot, recording five wins, and he has since finished in the top five in three of the last six races.

Denny Hamlin continues to be the driver in form, winning the Cracker Barrel 400 and FireKeepers Casino 400 in recent weeks. A return to California could also bode well for Christopher Bell, who was second in both the Coca-Cola 600 and the Cracker Barrel 400.

Anduril 250 Picks

The track layout will suit Shane van Gisbergen this weekend. Therefore, the Kiwi looks like the standout play to excel in California. He may be a short price, but he will be very hard to oppose.
