Event Preview
There has been a stop at the Texas Motor Speedway in each NASCAR Cup Series season since 1997, with the Würth 400 covering a distance of 400 miles. Hendrick Motorsports have dominated the recent editions, with Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Chase Elliott all recording wins since 2021.
Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott both appear to hold leading chances this weekend, with the latter potentially bringing better recent form to the table after finishing fourth in last weekend’s Jack Link’s 400. That was Elliott’s third top-ten finish in the last four rounds.
Tyler Reddick continues to lead the Drivers’ Championship, but he endured one of his most disappointing weekends of the season last time out after finishing only 15th. But the fact that he is already a five-time winner in 2026 means that a return to form is hard to overlook.
Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Ty Gibbs, and Brad Keselowski all endured frustrating weekends at the Jack Link’s 500, with all drivers finishing outside of the top 30. A shock winner came in the form of Carson Hocevar, who has now achieved top-five finishes in three races in 2026.
Würth 400 Picks
A typically unpredictable race on the NASCAR schedule is set. However, Elliott’s fine record in the Würth 400 could be worth following, while his recent form has been reliable, which includes a win in the Cook Out 400.
