Event Preview

Just two races remain on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule for the 2025 campaign, beginning this Sunday, as the Xfinity 500 will be staged. This weekend’s race will be staged at Martinsville Speedway, with the field completing 500 laps to make up the 263-mile race distance.

It is all change at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings, as Chase Briscoe seized control after winning the YellaWood 500 last time out. The win means that Briscoe has now finished in the top five in three of the last four races.

Christopher Bell is currently his nearest challenger after taking eighth in the YellaWood 500. Bell has finished third in three of the last four races, and is yet to finish outside of the top ten in his last seven starts in the NASCAR Playoffs.

It has a difficult weekend for three of the top five in the current standings. Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and William Byron all finished outside of the top 20 in the YellaWood 500.

This weekend, there will be increased pressure on Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney, as both are at risk of missing out on a spot in the Championship finale next Sunday.

Xfinity 500 Picks

A sensational end to the season is set, and this weekend could prove crucial. Christopher Bell looks like the consistent driver in the field after finishing third in three of the last four races. He could claim a second victory in the Xfinity 500 on Sunday.
