2023-24 NBA Player Props, Breakdown, Odds, and Picks (Jan 18)

By · Updated 1 year ago
  • We’ve got two NBA player props for you for Thursday, January 18, 2024.
  • We expect to see Shai Gilgeous-Alexander score much more than in his last game.
  • Our prediction is that De’Aaron Fox’s high-scoring run will continue.

Five games of the 2024 NBA are on the program tonight, with Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers vs. Sacramento Kings looking great for NBA player props. We’re now going to explain our reasoning for that, as well as share our top prop picks for those games.

Thunder vs. Jazz

How to Watch

  • When: Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Channel: NBA League Pass

Prop Pick

The Thunder are coming to Salt Lake City from Los Angeles where they played against the Clippers two nights ago.

They lost the game in question 128-117, with their points leader Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring just 19 points. The explanation for this is that he was struggling with illness ahead of that game. Further, he was playing against the NBA’s 10th defense, which is conceding 112.0 points per game.

Now, he’s 100% fit and he’s playing against the league’s 9th-worst defense, which is allowing 118.2 points per game. This is why our Thunder vs. Jazz prop pick is that Gilgeous-Alexander will go over 31.5 points tonight.

NBA Player PropOdds
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 31.5 Points

Pacers vs. Kings

How to Watch

  • When: Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California
  • Channel: NBA League Pass

Prop Pick

The Indiana Pacers are the highest-scoring team in the NBA, but they’re also the second-highest conceding team in the league. The Sacramento Kings are much better defensively, while their offense does great when their points leader, De’Aaron Fox, does great.

Sacramento’s point guard is seventh on the list of the highest-scoring players this season with a PPG of 28.0. In his most recent game, he scored 33 points against the Suns in Phoenix. Before that, he scored 32 against the Bucks in Milwaukee.

Now, the Kings are coming home to Sacramento where they’re playing their first home game in almost two weeks. In that game, Fox scored just 3 points against the Pelicans, and it’s his duty to do much, much better this time.

De’Aaron Fox Over 28.5 Points
