OKC Leading the Way, Knicks Overrated
The reigning champs are the top contenders to win another ring and go back-to-back. Even though the Western Conference looks stacked this year, SGA and the crew are leading the way, ahead of the Nuggets who did some trades during the summer to add more depth to their roster.
Cavaliers, the top Eastern seed following the regular season last year, are leveled with the Nuggets at +650, sitting ahead of the Knicks, who are +1200. Now, the latter are a bit overrated, because they had plenty of luck in the playoffs. Sorry, Knicks fans, your team simply doesn’t have what it takes to win the title.
Middle-Tier Contenders All from the West
The Rockets, Lakers, Clippers all at +1400 and the Timberwolves and Warriors at +1600 are behind the top 4, accompanied by the Orlando Magic, the only team from the Eastern Conference in this assembly.
Mavericks: The Possible Dark Horse?
If Kyrie and AD are healthy and Cooper Flag starts as planned, the Mavericks can go all the way. Yes, you heard us right, this team could win the NBA title. They are +3300 to take the Larry O’Brien trophy, and that looks quite good.
The Boston Celtics, who have an injured Tatum, are no longer among the top contenders and are +4000 to win the ring.
