Game Preview
Tyrese Haliburton stole the show once again. With his game-winning buckets, a series of 182 games in which a team lost when trailing by 9+ points in the last 3 minutes of the event was stopped. The Pacers won Game 1 111-110 and Haliburton scored 14 points with 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Pascal Siakam also had a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards, while Aaron Nesmith scored 10 and had 12 rebounds. The Pacers completely dominated the glass, having 56 rebounds while OKC gathered only 39. Also, the guests were 18 for 39 from deep.
Thunder was up 15 points with some 9 minutes to go. It seemed that they were finally breaking the rivals. However, a one-dimensional offense in the final few minutes and a lack of aggressiveness on the glass cost them the win. And, of course, Indiana’s good three-point shooting in the end.
Shai had 38 points, and was relentless. Jalen Williams scored 17 and Lugentz Dort 15, all from deep. This was the first loss for the OKC at home to an East team since March 12, 2024. Their rivals back then were … the Indiana Pacers.
Pacers vs. Thunder Head to Head
The 111-110 loss gave the Pacers a 1-0 lead in the finals. OKC triumphed both times during the regular part of the season.
Pacers vs. Thunder Game 2 Predictions
For a second there we didn’t know what to think. Indiana shot threes and rebounded well, but the OKC had the lead for more than 46 minutes. The spread is too high to bet on the Thunder, while the moneyline is too low here. Therefore, we pick under 227.5 points. It’s hard to expect to see the Pacers shooting from downtown in high percentages again, and the Thunder will be even more aggressive on the defensive side. So we expect fewer points than proposed.
