Game Preview
The Pacers managed to break the Thunder early in Game 6, outscoring them 36-17 in the second period. Indiana shot for three very well, making 15 downtown buckets in 42 attempts, which is good. Obu Toppin had four of those, coming off the bench, and scoring 20 points in total.
Tyrese Haliburton played injured, to get 14 points, while Andrew Nembhard had 17. Pascal Siakam posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards, while TJ McConnell had a wonderful role off the bench with 12 points, 9 boards, and 6 assists.
Unlike the Pacers, the Thunder was pretty mediocre from behind the arc, 8-for-30. OKC collapsed in the second period, with them failing to keep up with Indiana’s pace. It was obvious that the guests didn’t have enough offensive diversity and that, overall, they weren’t playing well.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 21 points, while Jalen Williams scored 16. The latter alone had 40 in the previous events. Chet Holmgren scored only 4 points, while Alex Caruso ended the game without a bucket in 22 minutes on the court.
