Game Preview
The Timberwolves had enough time to rest, as they finished their series against the Warriors in five games. So far, they looked dominant, losing only two games in the playoffs, one in LA to the Lakers, and the other vs. the Warriors at home, in Game 1.
Anthony Edwards scores 26.5 points per game with 8 boards and 5.9 assists. Julius Randle adds 23.9 points and is an X-factor in most situations because of his offensive versatility.
The Thunder reached this point after seven games against the Nuggets. We can’t say that the No.1 seed in the NBA amazed us in that series, and there’s kind of an impression that the Nuggets lost this one, not that OKC won it.
Shai scores 28.4 points and is the top scorer, ahead of Jalen Williams, who has 19.2. Chet Holmgren played a huge role offensively against the Nuggets, attacking from back cuts and above the rim. We’ll see how he adapts to the T-Wolves’ frontcourt.
Timberwolves vs. Thunder Head to Head
There were four games between these teams during the regular season, and both have two wins, one at home and one on the road.
Timberwolves vs. Thunder Game 1 Predictions
The spread on the Thunder is -7.5 points, and to be honest, we believe this is a bit of an underestimate for the T-Wolves. The guests had more time to rest, and that will play a huge role, which is why we pick Minnesota to defend that spread.
