Knicks were on the edge of the abyss. With Towns in foul trouble and 20 points behind this team faced the elimination. But KAT initiated one of the greatest Knicks’ comebacks in playoffs. He had 24 points and 15 boards.
Jalen Brunson had his struggles, but he reached 23 points. He was 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. OG Anynoby scored 16, and Mikal Bridges 15.
The Pacers probably relaxed and underestimated the Knicks when they had a 20-point lead. Haliburton had 20 points, Siakam 17 and TJ McConnell 12 off the bench.
The lack of an offensive spark in the second half was a key factor in the loss. No other Pacers player than the three had a double-digit point contribution. It seems that they just stopped after the break.
