Game Preview

OKC Thunder snapped a 5-game winning streak with a narrow, late loss in Miami against the Heat, 122-120. Shai had 39 points, and was perfect from the free-throw line, with 13 hits. Aaron Wiggins had 19 off the bench, while Chet Holmgren added 14 with 11 boards.

The NBA champions score 121 points per game, the second-best in the league, and shoot 49% from the field, the 3rd-highest percentage in the NBA.

Cavaliers are 24-19, and are far from last year’s form when they ruled the East pretty confidently. The recent back-to-back wins over the 76ers in Philly boosted the Cavaliers’ morale, but a triumph here would skyrocket it.

The problem with the Cavs is their very poor defense, which allows 117.4 points per game. The offense ranks 4th in the NBA with 120 buckets per game, which is still great, but not enough to move up in the standings.

  • Thunder is the No.1 defense with 108 points allowed.
  • TOTAL went OVER in 4 of the OKC’s past 6 games.
  • Cavaliers are 5-2 at home in the last 7 games.
  • Cavaliers score 30.8 points in the final period, the most in the NBA.

Thunder vs. Cavaliers Head to Head

This is the first meeting between the two franchises this year.

Thunder vs. Cavaliers Predictions

With an over set at 229.5 points, we are all in on OVER, because these two teams have high-potential offenses. OKC’s defense is rock-solid, but in this case, it won’t slow the Cavs down much because of the home-court edge.
