Game Preview
OKC’s grip on the T-Wolves was strong right from the start, and near the end of halftime, the team from Minneapolis began losing its pace. OKC broke the rivals in the third period when they outscored the Wolves 35-21.
Shai had 38 points, 13-for-15 from the free-throw line, Jalen Williams dominated on both ends having 26 points, 10 boards and five assists, while Chet Holmgren scored 22 points.
The Timberwolves were terrible from downtown, making 11 shots in 29 attempts. Edwards was 1-for-9, Naz Reid 0-for-5, Randle 0-for-3, and Conley 1-for-4. Their game was without any creativity, and we have to say that Mike Conley looked pale—3 points, assists, and boards in 28 minutes.
Ant had 32 points, nine boards, and six assists, and Jaden McDaniels added 22. Nickeil Alexander-Walker contributed with 17 off the bench and that was it from the Timberwolves scoring.
