The WNBA season is in its final stretch as the postseason approaches. The Lynx are running away with the top spot, while the Aces fight to stay afloat in the playoff race. After losing badly in Minnesota last week, Las Vegas will aim for revenge at home.

Lynx Face Little Competition

The Lynx now sit five games ahead of any other team in the WNBA’s 1st-place position. They extended that gap and improved to 23-5 following a sensational win against the 2nd-place Liberty. Minnesota has a stacked starting-5, but has been particularly aided by the exceptional play of leading MVP-candidate Napheesa Collier, who exploded for 30 more points against New York. The Lynx enter August as the clear title favorites, looking to fully avenge their WNBA Finals loss against the Liberty last season.

Las Vegas made some major changes in the offseason, but they’ve taken an unexpected step back. Young will be a crucial part to their chances of making the postseason, starting with this game against the Lynx.
